The processing problem
Car bodies are large, hollow, and awkward to store or ship until they are flattened and packed.
Why this process is used
Baling auto bodies after fluids and engines are removed turns bulky hulks into stackable charges for shredders or mills.
Car scrap baling combines a high-tonnage triple-action or triple-compression press with shearing for the heavy remnants. Narshinga alligator and heavy-duty hydraulic shears cut rails, engines, and mixed auto iron that should not enter the baler.
This application is specified for auto dismantlers and yards processing ELVs. Final machine selection depends on how complete the hulk is when it reaches the press.
Operational considerations
- Depollute vehicles (fluids, batteries, airbags) before pressing.
- Engines, axles, and heavy castings are usually removed and processed on a shear, not forced into the baler chamber.
- Feed opening must match the hulk size you actually receive.
