The processing problem
Copper has high value per kilogram. Loose or poorly packed loads increase theft risk, handling damage, and shipping cost.
Why this process is used
Dense copper bales are easier to count, store securely, and sell against a mill or trader specification.
Copper scrap baling is supported on Narshinga double-action scrap balers and vertical hydraulic presses. The machine is selected for chamber size and the form of copper you actually handle — busbar and tube behave differently from loose wire.
We do not invent recovery percentages or guaranteed bale weights. Quote requests should include photos of the copper form and the target bale size your buyer asks for.
Operational considerations
- Insulated wire is usually stripped or granulated before baling if the buyer wants bright copper.
- Keep copper separate from ferrous scrap to protect grade.
- Smaller chambers are often preferred so bales stay within what two people or a small forklift can handle.
