Dense OCC bales are a standard trade unit for paper mills and recyclers.
Cardboard baling is a primary use of the Narshinga carton scrap baling press and our horizontal hydraulic balers. The carton machine is built for corrugated packaging scrap; horizontal models take higher daily volume from warehouses and MRFs.
If your stream is mixed paper and cardboard, say so on the enquiry — chamber and cycle settings are confirmed against the actual mix, not a generic OCC number.
Operational considerations
- Large flattened sheets need a wide feed opening or a pre-break step.
- Retail back-of-house sites often use vertical automatic balers; distribution centres usually specify horizontal.
- Keep wet or food-contaminated cartons out of mill-grade bales.
